More Than Ready filly Chain Of Fools is your classic ready-made racehorse after she streeted her opponents to win heat seven by over seven lengths.

A racy type trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Chain Of Fools showed good speed to lead the heat but she soon put herself into a different class to the others when she slipped them easily at the top of the straight.

Given the time of 51.24, it’s an effort which perhaps should be tempered a little with questionable opposition but there was no doubt it was an impressive win for a filly that will be one of the favourites if she holds up for a race like the Gimcrack Stakes.

Chain Of Fools was a $145,000 purchase from the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale to the bid of Gai Waterhouse, Julian Blaxland and Dermot Farrington from the draft of Kia-Ora Stud.

She is by More Than Ready out of South Australian stakes winning mare Burgeis, by Catbird, from a family that harks back to Golden Slipper winner Stratum.
